A new friend taught me how to crochet last night.

I’ve joked with friends that I’m the “Free Hardware Fairy” a lot lately, as I get rid of stuff and fix their computers up.

Saturday morning Kathy and I got up EARLY and then caravanned with some friends to the Texas Renaissance Festival (an hour and a half drive each way). I must have walked more than five miles total (I’m out of shape, and work a desk job) but I had a GREAT time. Spent most of Saturday evening just hanging out and taking Excedrin.

Sunday afternoon we went to a Thanksgiving party held by a couple that are good friends of hers. More than thirty people showed up – geeks, nerds, weirdos – my sort of folks! Again, had a great time, and finally got back home just before 9pm tonight.

My calves, and my body in general, will hate me for a few days – but I can’t say that I didn’t need the exercise, and it was all worth it.

After being Raised as a Master Mason on Thursday, I went Friday night and got my first tattoo.
