Amy’s obituary

I found it on the website of her hometown newspaper.

It’s got one typo – she graduated high school in ‘92 or ‘93, not ‘87.

Did she really graduate from high school when she was 12?

No, that date’s wrong, it was ‘92 or ‘93.

Bill: I am so sorry to hear about Amy’s sudden passing.

I was one of her friends from Tennis World. When I came upon TW 3 years ago, the warm welcome from Amy (along with Pete) was what kept me around and helped make me feel comfortable here. At the time, I was dealing with some health issues and unable to get out much, and becoming a part of the TW community was very helpful in getting me through that, which I will always be thankful for. In addition to our banter on TW, Amy and I exchanged e-mails from time to time, and I eventually had the pleasure of meeting her at the TW NYC gathering in April 2007. Even though we had never met before that, she greeted me as if we were old friends. That’s something that I will always treasure.

    RIP, my friend.

    Bill,

Very sorry to hear about Amy. She was always very kind, and I’ll never forget the moral support she offered me when I was going through some craziness with my University during my senior year of college. (and a birthday gift :) ) She really was a great person. Although she was gone before her time, I hope she experienced much joy before her passing.

    Best wishes,

    Bill,

I am so sorry about Amy…I can’t believe it myself. She was my age but she gave advice as if she were well beyond her years. She will always be very special and I know she loved you so much… she was so proud of you.

    My condolences,
    Jen
