CVS camera hacking / cable construction writeup

Due to popular demand, I’ve done a writeup about making a USB interface cable for a CVS “disposable” camcorder and pulling the videos off onto a Windows PC or Macintosh.

    Hi! Thanks for the credit for my cable construction page. The reason why my page was down earlier this month was because my entire bandwidth for the month (1.5GB) was sucked up with over 2,000 hits in only a couple of days! I have purchased an additional 3GB for the month to get my pages back online and I’ve also signed up with 1&1.com to host a mirror site. For the time being I have removed both of the sample images near the bottom of the page since they account for around 1MB of the download bandwidth. As it is, I reset my page counters two days ago and I now have just over 1,100 hits for the Dakota pages.
